[COMING UP] As Africa Month celebrations continue across the continent, we’re reflecting on the power of African art to preserve identity, tell our stories, and reconnect us to the roots we share. Music, in particular, has become a bridge across borders — blending cultures, languages, and lived experiences into something uniquely African. A new collaboration between a South African vocalist and a Ghanaian pianist is doing exactly that. The project, titled African Breyani, is being hailed as a rich fusion of heritage, creativity, and continental unity — a musical conversation that celebrates Africa’s diversity while reminding us of what binds us together.
