It is all coming full circle. The snake is eating its tail. I find myself describing derivations and problems as ‘beautiful’ and ‘elegant’ to my Modern Physics students while they laugh at my enthusiasm for rotation matrices.

It's so silly when journals ask you to upload your tex source files and figures and then don't allow you to just upload a zipped folder containing everything. Publishing houses, I am begging you to change.

Today I’ve managed to spill tea, coffee, and soup on my shirt. I would feel embarrassed holding office hours dressed like this, but honestly when people find out that I’m a physics grad student, they often seem surprised I can even dress myself in the mornings.

@DTstarkid My dad is an astro theorist. I ended up in physics, yes, but on the complete opposite end in condensed matter experiment/quantum information! So your mileage may vary.
