Joel 2:32 But everyone who calls on the name of the lord     will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape,     just as the lord has said. These will be among the survivors     whom the lord has called. Have a blessed day.

A dream come true, I finally entered the August House during the #YouthMockParliament26. One key lesson: young people have facts and solutions. Give them a voice, and they will share their realities. We call for zero tax on menstrual products because menstruation is not a luxury.

Strengthening families is key to keeping girls in school. Many households struggle to meet menstrual needs, affecting education & wellbeing. We must normalize conversations, increase investment, and end period poverty. Mr Mondo, emphasized this call to action. #YMP2026

MHM is a development & dignity issue requiring shared responsibility families, schools, communities & government. Uganda: ~2M births yearly, only ~800k reach secondary; many girls drop out due to menstrual hygiene gaps. Investing in MHM is urgent for human capital. #YMP2026

Menstrual hygiene management is a shared responsibility that requires families, communities, schools, and governments to break the silence around menstruation and strengthen access to accurate SRHR information for girls and young women, noted Hon. Akiiki Asiimwe. #MYP2026

@LauraCriado highlighted progress on menstrual health policies but stressed that stigma, poor WASH facilities & silence around menstruation still affect girls’ dignity and school attendance. She called for stronger sexuality education & full implementation of MHM guidelines.

Menstrual health is directly linked to girls’ education, dignity, and national development. Poor menstrual hygiene fuels absenteeism and school dropouts. @HenryMagala2, @ahfugandacares calls for dialogue, partnerships, and access to safe, affordable menstrual products. #YMP2026

The use of unsafe materials like rags and leaves increases the risk of infections and undermines girls’ health and dignity. There is an urgent need to strengthen menstrual health education and SRHR awareness esp in rural schools with limited access to information. #YMP2026
