Participants at #YMP2026 also called for improved affordability and access to all menstrual products to ensure no one is left behind. They further recommended the inclusion of a young woman on the Gender Labour Board to strengthen youth representation in decision-making.

At #YMP2026, young men and women jointly called for strengthened MHM policies, emphasizing that menstruation is not a luxury. They urged government action on zero taxation of menstrual products and stronger policy support for menstrual health and dignity.

@LauraCriado highlighted progress on menstrual health policies but stressed that stigma, poor WASH facilities & silence around menstruation still affect girls’ dignity and school attendance. She called for stronger sexuality education & full implementation of MHM guidelines.
