I busted my ass raising a family, no complaints & I raised my children to bust their ass if they want nice clothes, holidays, a home etc. /1

@Victoria_Reanne @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder Graduated in 1992…my 1st salary of $1100 a month…got married in 1994, had a baby in 1995, 2nd baby in 1999… I may not be from the US, but yeah…worked my ass off from ‘92 till now to be able to finally buy & fully pay off a “tiny” 68sqm 2bdrm flat/apt…after 32yrs of working…

@Victoria_Reanne Who mentioned generations? I think it was you. Putting aside all age differences, I believe accountability, personal growth, the ability to learn from what has gone before us is what will strengthen us. You and me. What I experienced is no less than what you are experiencing.

@Theresa93773825 nothing costs nearly as much as it did when you were going to school. i’m 40k in debt and haven’t even finished my undergrad. by the time i finish my masters i will be nearly 100k in debt and won’t be making nearly enough to pay it for another decade.

@Theresa93773825 i was ranting. the textbook definition of ranting is a loud angry and impassioned speech. i was angry and impassioned about the topic and wrote what is equivalent to a speech through social media. and that’s to the first amendment i have every right to do so on MY page

@Theresa93773825 @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder i understand everyone has had to struggle. the problem is our parents and educators have engrained that going to college would mean we would would have better. so it feels like we’ve done everything right and still are not achieving things we were told we would all our lives

When I was ‘struggling’ and had my water cut off as a new college grad I sure didn’t scream to the universe it was someone else’s fault.
