@ianonabeach @MartinSLewis Nope. 1000x nope. Never totally combine your finances with someone else's. Women in particular end up in sticky situations if their relationship turns bad and they have no cash of their own to escape. I'd trust my husband to the ends of the earth but I still control my own money.

@MartinSLewis One joint account for everything. Huge income imbalance but what’s the point in being married if you segregate your funds. I don’t understand how long term couples/marriages have separate accounts, what happens if one of you can’t afford dinner/drinks/movie night etc
