My roommate and I have a strict “buy your own groceries” rule, except shared basics like oil/spices. Sunday night I spent 3 hours meal prepping homemade beef lasagna for my work lunches. Made 5 portions in glass containers and stacked them in the fridge. Tuesday morning, 2 of them were gone. I texted her thinking maybe she grabbed them by accident. She ignored me all day. When she got home she smiled and said, “Oh, my boyfriend came over hungry last night so I told him he could have some. Family over everything, right? I’ll replace the ground beef.” Then I looked at the counter. Not only were the containers still dirty, she had written his name on the lids in Sharpie so “nobody else would touch them” when he comes back this weekend. She really treated my 3 hours of cooking like I’m running a free meal delivery service for her boyfriend. Am I insane or is this completely unhinged roommate behavior ⁉️
