This 7/2 letter from @HecklerAndKoch reads like a marketing psyop. With language like "highly sought after" and "order books are closed," this to me sounded less like an explanation and more like gloating salesmanship. So I reached out to HK and they told me the following - officially: 1. The SP5 and MR556 are still in production and shipping (they say daily); 2. All existing orders are being honored; 3. The point was they just can't take new orders until they catch up. As someone who used to import HK parts into the US on a commercial scale, I can almost guarantee that this is an import parts bottleneck issue. Figured y'all would want the scoop.

I pull over and walk back, Oldest kid (maybe 10yo) runs up and says “I will be helping you today sir” I immediately tell him the professionalism is astounding and to keep it up. He asks me if i want strawberry lemonade or regular, i responded that i was impressed they had options. Walk up to the stand and ask the boys what their proceeds are going towards, they tell me next seasons baseball gear. I give them all the ones in my wallet and told them to have a blessed day. Small and simple interaction but it put a smile on my face. You just love to see it.
