@RanaAyyub Why is it a sobering moment for India? It makes sense for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to mediate in a conflict involving the Islamic Republic of Iran. Why bring India into it?

The world is lauding Pakistan for mediating a ceasefire through a war that could have unleashed the worst kind of catastrophe. Trump who spoke the language of ending the Iranian civilisation till last night is now speaking the language of peace. It is a sobering moment for India that now needs to really work on its foreign policy and instead of pleasing domestic actors needs to think of long term goals and not grandstanding in elections. Propaganda films might win us elections but not elevate our status as vishwaguru in world politics

THIS!!!!👇 Los Angeles….When 400,000 Iranians protest, they hand flowers to the police. 👏 They clean the streets before they leave. 👏 They chant for FREEDOM, not chaos. 👏 Because they know what real oppression looks like. They fled it. They’ve lived under it. They’re not saying destroy the country they’re standing in. They’re trying to save their own. Now compare that to what we’ve seen from the “Free Palestine” crowd in the West. Threatening people and assaulting them. Defacing monuments. Looting stores. Burning cars. Absolute chaos. There is a difference between fighting tyranny and exporting it. 💯 WATCH!👇👀👂🎥❤️

@Mschatnoir Here's a gentle reminder: The British (thanks mostly to the Scots) ruled India (including what is today Pakistan) for about 200 years.

Will there ever be a day a scottish woman becomes leader of a Pakistani region and creates a video where she proudly in a thick Glasweigan accent surrounded by tartans and scottish stuff...announces she is the first Scottish mayor in Pakistan and it's been long long overdue and she will overcome the tyranny of Pakistan only ever electing Pakistanis to represent them ? why is the opposite happening here not considered as absurd?

There was a time when people looked with admiration to the USA, today it is only China. China doesn't need propaganda, they convince through facts.

@sabeer NSS, as we say in my workplace. No sh*t Sherlock! Question is, how does one change the mindset? Fines? Not sure that'll work. Incentives? Maybe. But what kinds of incentives will work? Why don't you create a contest for people to come up with their best ideas?

If 1.4 billion Indians treated India the way they treat their own homes - and their mothers - India would look like Switzerland within weeks. The problem isn’t money. It’s mindset.

Good morning from Delhi where a European delegation led by von der Leyen and Costa were treated as guests of honor at the Republic Day parade. Tomorrow - a trade deal cutting tariffs is expected to be sealed as well as a new defense and security pact. India hit by 50% tariff regime under Trump. De-risking used to be synonymous with China, now it also includes Trump’s tariffs/ America as the European push to diversify and conquer new markets continues. And yes - we got front row seats, but we did wake up at 430am for it!

@sabeer Agree 100%. How does one inculcate civic sense, however? That is the BIG question. Need to learn from the Japanese! Tokyo has few garbage cans -- since people take their waste home to dispose it off properly -- and yet pavements are so clean, you can literally eat off of them!

I’ve identified India’s core problem—and it’s fixable. Instead of blaming each other, we must all swear that air pollution, garbage, corruption, unhygienic conditions, and nepotism are my problem. Until a society takes collective ownership, nothing gets fixed.

The world talks AI, robotics, EVs, clean energy, and how tech shapes kids. India debates saffronization, godmen, Ayodhya, Sanatan Dharma, Mughals, Aurangzeb. Alternate reality or deliberate dumbing down of a great civilization?

@pbhushan1 The relevant figure to look at is debt as a proportion on GDP. Without that context, these numbers are kind of meaningless.
