A new documentary for Fleming and Bond fans in the UK: 'Ian Fleming: The Curse of Bond - The Spy Who Killed Me'. Sky Arts, Tuesday 12th May, 9.00pm. It will include a big focus on his wartime intelligence work and its influence on his creation of 007.

Still one of the best articles on OHMSS. I often return back to it.

Pierce Brosnan continued lobbying to play Bond after his 2004 dismissal. He told Esquire in 2017 he would have returned for one more film if asked. Eon Productions never extended a fifth offer.

Today is Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day, commemorating the formal end of WW2. ​ Throughout the War, Ian Fleming worked as the assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence, Admiral Godfrey, where he played a key part in British and Allied espionage operations.
