@newusername1991 @CenterIceView Totally agree. At least in 4x4 you have two defensemen and it's not just a skills competition. Maybe the first 10 minutes 4x4 then if no one scores go to 3x3?

@ViewFromtheGla1 @CenterIceView Fair enough, that’s a big enough difference I can live with 3x3 for games that don’t mean anything but it feels so wrong for a gold medal game to be decided by 3x3 haha

@newusername1991 @CenterIceView Granted 20 YO data, but when the NHL was 4x4 and the NCAA was pondering change, I researched and OT resulted in a decision about 1/2 the time. Back then, the only other league doing 3x3 was low-level pro, which was ~60%. Not a huge difference and much more field separating IMO.
