I keep seeing people say that Forza Horizon isnt a sim, and I’m curious to know why people say this. I play it on a sim setup and it feels very much like playing assetto corsa, or WRC games with the way it handles. What is it specifically that makes people say this?

Yeah, I read it differently. The charactature: OAI is the annoying Insta "influencer" of the AI sector. No "achievement" or change or release is left without promoting the hell out of it vaingloriously. DeepMind rolled up, did the work, solved 9 in a row, and left us with a research paper as they rolled away. No selfie stick. No "engagement maxxing." Just hard work and results.

Holy shit. The amount of self congratulatory backslapping when ChatGPT is used to solve 1 problem is incredibly distasteful. Meanwhile, DeepMind steps in, says "Hold my beer," solves 9 problems, and drops a research paper about it instead of performing public acts of onanism over how amazing they think they are.

@zerothzr i made the same mistake when i was new, thinking "this makes it more difficult and thus i am better!" same with turning off braking abs and stuff (i play on kbm) then a friend started playing and explained why those are better to be on xd now i can play the game properly :)

@GnomOfKyiv @blaze26801 @zerothzr You can have a general idea of the braking points of a car based on its class; first lap you keep it rather safe, and next laps you push a bit more. It's not like you need to go for perfect laps in races in this game

Je me rends compte que les gens qui théorisent sur l’IA sur X ne comprennent pas comment les connaissances sont générés. Lorsque vous demandez à une IA de vous faire un diagnostic médical et de vous donner le traitement, elle va puiser dans les connaissances produites par des centaines d’études et des descriptions cliniques. Elle va vous donner le bon dosage du médicament A parce qu’il y a des centaines de personnes qui ont fait les essais sur les animaux et sur des volontaires. L’IA ne va pas "calculer" les connaissances médicales. C’est pareil pour l’ingénierie et autres disciplines. Des dev qui ont grandi devant des ordinateurs et des consoles de jeu pensent comprendre le monde 😂

@edmontigny @Doc_Rogno Il ne dit pas que les LLM sont des bases de données, mais pour que des questions comme ça elles vont chercher des sources sur internet, pas simplement générer sa réponse en samplant à partir de ses poids (ça s'appelle le RAG)

"Bricking someone's hardware" is a wild way to say "Vanguard enabled a standard Windows security feature that blocks unauthorized memory access." If a player takes the shady DMA cheat card out of their motherboard, the PC boots perfectly fine. Riot didn't fry their circuits; they just put a lock on a door. And please stop using "false positives" as a shield for people who bought literal hardware exploits. A standard gaming PC doesn't accidentally grow a Direct Memory Access card running custom spoofed firmware. If your PC got flagged by this update, you didn't accidentally download a bad patch; you spent $300 to cheat at a video game and got caught. Nice try though.

No company should be legally allowed to brick someone’s hardware. And for the people saying this could help stop cheaters — false positives exist. That means legitimate players could end up having their hardware disabled or flagged despite doing nothing wrong.
