@BeatoIv He is actually statistically only comparable to a few QBs who made it big. He compares closer to the busts. A lot of that is due to his mechanics and inaccuracy. His glass body does not help either

@VikeFans And if you compare him to other QB rookie stats he's right up there with them...injury prone yet how many others have had injury plagued seasons... Everyone makes it sound like he has no business being an NFL QB yet but it's only been a year!

I have seen every QB imaginable linked to the Vikings for next year. One who is never mentioned is JJ McCarthy. Could they really give up on him this quickly on a rookie contract? Don't get me wrong, they guy shows me little.

The funny part of today is that Viking fans are saying if we had Sam Darnold we'd be in the Super Bowl. C'Mon guys this is the Vikings, we would have found a way to blow it in the first playoff game.

Do you realize that is both the big mistakes and little mistakes that doom teams? Sure, letting Sam Darnold turned out to be the wrong move, but had we even kept Nick Mullens, we would have had a passing game and probably beat out the Packers for a playoff spot.

While so many fans are agonizing that Sam Darnold left and is now in the NFC Champ game, I will root for him today to win. He gave this town 14 wins last year and made for a great season. He is not to fault for leaving. Go sSm!

So many people talking about Brian Flores to Vegas or surmising that Baltimore is a spot for him. That may happen, but keep Pittsburgh in the back of your mind as a potential destination if he does leave.

@Skolmark3124 They will add a veteran QB who can start, but that won't happen til after the Super Bowl. Flores is being courted, but who knows if and where he might go. He is qualified to be a Head Coach but his lawsuit has certainly been an impediment to many teams

My namesake, former Colts OC Tom Moore perfectly describes how this year felt for MIN to me at QB. Jon Gruden asked him why backup QBs did not get reps in practice during the Peyton Manning years. Moore replied "If 18 goes down, we are f*cked". We don't practice f*cked"

@GOaks5050 True - he has prototype QB traits, but as a youngster, the game is simply too fast for him

@VikeFans He basically only threw screens and 5 yd outs that receivers ended up gaining 10-15 yds on after the catch. Very deceiving stats if you actually watched the game. And he only had 57 yds passing btw

Stating on QB rating, Max Brosmer was 7 of 8 for 91 yards and a 96 QB rating today. The numbers are deceiving to me, as that is almost starter-level stats.

@JimWrobel2 You finish the drive - MIN was mainly running at that point. He is so quick to give in. I get it, if he can't grip the ball, but he does not seem to power through any injury

@VikeFans It’s on his throwing hand if he can’t throw the ball how is he supposed to play? Obviously it got to that point, is he supposed to do throw left-handed?

Observation #21 in MIN win vs GB – JJ McCarthy, like Christian Ponder, doesn’t tough out injuries-ready, willing & able to pull himself from games. Cousins only missed if an Achilles tear. Darnold missed nothing. 2026 has to bring a veteran to do this job while JJ learns.
