ICE is already funded through BBB and they will pass the rest of the budget through reconciliation… this is actually a huge win for republicans because dems didn’t get the concessions they wanted re: ICE not wearing masks, needing more than an administrative warrant etc… this passed without SAVE act, sure, but they should have never tried to stuff that in anyways.

Republicans will successfully fund ICE later through budget reconciliation, something Speaker Johnson has been saying for weeks they should do. Democrats are highly unlikely to get the substantive reforms they have been demanding. Trump using his emergency powers to pay TSA left the Democrats with NO LEVERAGE. It’s why the deal got done.
