"We don't compete for the same customers. Ethereum pretends like we don't exist. It's both a blessing and a curse, and the blessing is the mission of the realFi stuff, the developing world stuff, [and] the economic agency...I was just in Dubai, for example, and I had dinner with the Royal Family over in Abu Dhabi and a lot of big guys…CZ was there…and there wasn't a single Ethereum person there. There was 2 trillion dollars of sovereign wealth that was represented and both of the sovereign wealth guys were Cardano fans. Why? It's not because we're so special...I mean we are, c’mon we're awesome...but also because they didn't engage ‘em. Because they're so caught up with Silicon Valley, they're so caught up in New York, they're so caught up in the tradiitonal places ...the world's a big place. And if ya have enough respect to go to Kenya, Ethiopia, to other places to go to Latin American markets, to go to Brazil, and talk to the people that nobody thinks much about and say ‘You matter and here's your agency back’ and lift that person up...if you sum all of that together it's bigger than the whole [traditional financial] world. In fact I talked to one of the finance ministers in Abu Dhabi and I said ‘Aren't you worried about being on a [sort of] graylist and pissing off the U.S.?' and they said, ‘Charles if you add Russia, China, India, and Africa together, that economy is bigger than Europe plus America combined. So, you know, if we have to make an East-West decision, why would we go with the people that basically tell us how to run our country vs the people that just wanna give us [liberating] money.’" ~Charles Hoskinson
