I wanted to say something else about this, specifically ppl (understandably) saying I should’ve left him to his own devices when he got old and needed care, or that he wouldn’t care for me if the roles were reversed. I think there’s an assumption that abusers are Evil.

In my early 30s I asked my stepmom how she dealt w/my dad when he acted “like that”, referring to a specific way he treated me when he was mad at me (always.) She said she had no idea what I was talking about, that he wasn’t like that with her, it must be something specific to me

Woke up after my favorite day ever of playing Destiny yesterday, and I thought I’d feel okay. But I feel even sadder now. The last time I get to feel excited about a D2 launch and get lost in exploration is now in the past.
