Life Is a Cinema Hall retweetledi

Theatres shutting down is not localised to our state alone. In the last decade approximately 800-900 theatres across the country have shut down. Despite all this, we average about 250 odd films every year. Almost 5 films every Friday. The film business is evolving as it always has done. From an insider's perspective, I can assure you, its more business than art. Of course, It's a hard balance to strike between the two. That's the dance that all of us are trying to have. Again, more reasons to be hopeful about KFI than not. :)

But industry will survive only if more movies are made, theatres survive and revenues are collected. Film industry is about commerce too, not just art.
