@alice_rovai I feel you. Professional translator here, I've worked on a game for a year (and the audience loved the localization). Recently, the newest patch had all of the translation done by AI without even contacting us. Needless to say, it's terrible and the players hated it, too late now

@TheDavidVinc Yea, I'm always baffled at how people totally ignore BD as an FF legacy series. Whenever I hear someone complaining that FF isn't turn-based anymore, I'm the first in line to tell'em to play BD right away.

They do, it's called Bravely Default - go play it.

Let's have a history lesson shall we? Bravely Default began as a successor to FINAL FANTASY: 4 Heroes of Light. Then when it released it had the subtitle "Flying Fairy" or FF, an intentional nod to Final Fantasy. They're both intrinsically linked.

Quase 10 anos atrás decidi virar tradutor justamente por saber que a maioria dos trabalhos na área eram remotos (dentre outras razões). Minha mulher é do ramo de games e também trabalha totalmente home office. Mas tem áreas que não tem mesmo.
