@StephenCerone I know I’m old-fashioned with sports. I hate all the changes these leagues makes with pitch clocks and all that…. But to me, baseball is a game meant to be played outside in the sunshine on warm days. That’s baseball.

Baseball games on Saturday nights should be illegal. The Yankees play at 7pm tonight. Baseball games should ALWAYS be played in the afternoon on weekends. I hate what they’ve done to what was once the best sport in the world.

@RealMichaelKay All these people that are bitching and moaning about Blackburn being in the game are the same ones who screamed that Joe Torre overused his relievers and ruined their arms.

@JoezMcfLy If he can't improve his fielding and also doesn't improve right handed, he might not get an opportunity with another team unless he stopped switch hitting.

@GinaMuscato I think the beauty of it is knowing when to use the challenge. Especially in a big situation like bases loaded.

Unpopular opinion: I understand some ball/strike calls are egregious & the ability to challenge makes sense…but baseball isn’t meant to be so precise that you rely on a box. Grey area around the plate is part of the gm. Otherwise it’s just not baseball. Idk. I’ve mixed feelings.

@LastSingleDigit The fact that this was put out with “might have included” means he should’ve confirmed the names. But I think it would need to be a player or two more.

@kicknyrgios Had a coach do this to me in HS. Played P/SS/2B since I was 5. At 18 he fired me out in LF. It went they bit as poorly. I was back at 2B next game, thankfully. Pretty wild that a manager pulled that in the bigs. Just awful.

@YankeeLibrarian @MetsGirl333 At least THAT would make sense. I was getting dragged through the mud because I said Kyler Murray or a 49er player or QB would make more sense because the games in SF.

@AdeleSellsNJ The vibe seems more for the entertainment factor rather then to actually call the game. I’m thinking about the interviews & shots of McCovey Cove and the conversations. More like they are trying to appeal to the ordinary people watching who might not be serious fans. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone on this show take a breath? We don’t need talking 💯 of the time baseball is enough. How disappointing after waiting all these months.

Softball questions to Manfred. No balls at all. Would love to hear him asked about the inability to keep track of which game is airing where, blackouts for MLBtv despite the fortune they charge people, the list goes on. No one will ever ask those questions

@mikescudiero I like it. It allows you to see how inept they are at what should be basic baseball skills. Games still last longer than tgey should because teams can’t get that runner in.

Also, I love the claim from this clown that so many fans love the extra inning runner on 2nd as I'm STILL yet to encounter even ONE who is happy with it and thinks it's great for the game. These people live in delusion. Even if some did, NO chance the majority like it. It's dumb

@GMT_98_ @rationalyankee It will never work. Baseball, to me, will always be a niche sport. You either like it, or don’t. You won’t get any casual to watch a random Sunday game in June of teams they don’t root for. Even the most casual NFL fan will wake up on a Sunday, early, to watch a game.

@rationalyankee Here is the issue, it is working. Baseball is growing year after year and this mission to find new platforms is continuing to grow the game. Baseball can be traditional on the field but off the field they have to keep up with times or get left behind.

This is a product of two things. 1. MLBs media rights deals are a disaster. The RSN model is collapsing, but contractual obligations make the issue very difficult to fix. They’re very much in search mode for how to distribute games once they can fix it in 2028. 2. MLB is trying way too hard to attract fans who don’t already like baseball. By putting games on multiple services, they think they can reach more people. But they’re doing it at the expense of the fans who already love the game. I think that’s a mistake. Either way, it won’t be this way in a few years. The league knows it’s not sustainable.

@GinaMuscato They said on the broadcast that this is only their 6th time having Opening Day there since it opened. That surprised me. Especially with weather you can expect back east. Hope you had a great time!

@realboshek You saw that as a shot at Yankee fans? I did not. I’ve always said, the WBC has crowds full of passionate fans. I can’t say you would ever get that environment at any MLB game because I couldn’t say everyone would be there because they had a passion for the game and team.

Judge was booed because he "put down" Yankee fans by saying Mexico/DR fans were better than they were in the World Series That being said..... The late great Peter Seidler was willing to pay Judge a TON more Judge CHOOSE to be a Yankee. And I can never boo him for that
