As if $2500.00 rents and skyrocketing food costs weren't enough, here comes $5 a gallon gas. I honestly don't know how the middle class is going to make it. It's ALMOST as if the powers that be are trying to make you dependent on the government so they can control you.

I hear this a lot. If you’re not following me on X, you’re not getting the TRUTH about the “Republican” Texas government. Texans deserve the truth. Texans deserve liberty. Texans deserve better.

@JennXTex To culture is out of hand. I'll give 20% for good service and will give more for excellent service. 20% is the starting point. The server decides which way it goes from there. I refuse to tip on walk-ups.

Let’s talk “Tipping Culture” in restaurants ⬇️ For as long as I can remember, we’ve been told to tip ~20% of the total bill, no matter what restaurant However, I’ve had servers work WAY harder for me at say, a Chili’s, than at some HIGH $$$$$ restaurants Do you think tips should be a percentage of the total bill, or based on the service provided? A bone-in Wagyu T-bone can be $2000 on its own, but the server is still bringing out that ONE steak to me, not TEN of them What are your thoughts?

Here's an exercise worth 20 minutes of your time: Open your bank or credit card statement and count every recurring charge. Every subscription. Every "per month" anything. Then ask three questions about each one: 1. Do I actively use this, or did I just forget to cancel it? 2. Is there a one-time or free alternative that does the same job? 3. If this service disappeared tomorrow, would I actually notice? A few examples of free or owned replacements: → Microsoft Office ($100/yr) → LibreOffice (free, forever) → Dropbox ($10–$20/mo) → Syncthing (free, self-hosted) → Norton/McAfee ($40–$80/yr) → Windows Defender (built-in, free) → Squarespace ($46/mo) → static HTML site you own outright Not every subscription is bad. But most people are surprised by the total when they actually look.
