A woman shared her experience from an IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
She said that during the first innings, her husband left his seat to get water. When he returned, her phone was missing. Soon, other people sitting nearby also realized their phones had been stolen.
They reported the issue to the stadium security, but no action was taken. Later, they went to a nearby police station, where many others were already complaining about similar thefts.
According to her, around 10–12 minors were caught. They had entered the stadium wearing team jerseys and using free tickets. She felt the thefts were planned in advance.
She also mentioned that more phones were stolen during the second innings, especially when people left their seats for food or drinks. Some people even said such incidents had happened before.
In the end, she advised everyone to stay alert and keep their belongings safe while attending IPL matches.
