Wrapping up Galena: - my mom got these penguin earrings for $7.99 and put them on while I had a martini at The Grape Escape - dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes (yes, had fried green tomatoes) - recharged at a cute bnb called Linen & Stone - closed out night looking at Xmas lights

We’ve arrived at the “Hallmark of the Midwest”. Thank you @VisitGalenaOrg for the welcome basket!! Grabbing lunch, some pastries, and saying hi to every stranger I walk past as if I’m literally a main character in a Hallmark movie.

My mom’s annual “home for the holidays” email to me and my siblings just dropped. An incredibly thorough, detail-rich look ahead at how it’s possible for me to gain 15 lbs in one week.
