Ensuring safe and hygienic food for the people of Goa remains our priority. During a routine inspection drive in the Kareband–Navelim area, two restaurants were found operating without valid FSSAI licences and in highly unhygienic conditions. Serious violations including poor sanitation, unsafe food handling, pest infestation, lack of health cards and improper storage facilities were observed. One of the premises had earlier been penalised but continued operations without compliance. Both establishments were directed to shut operations until compliance is achieved, and penalties were imposed for repeated violations. Strict monitoring and enforcement will continue to safeguard public health and ensure safe food for every Goan.
