with a visual style this distinctive you’d think they’d be making weird off the wall techwear merch but no they’re always just gonna make graphic tees for big sweaty fat guys forever

don't quite agree with this but i feel guy has a point, mainly with regards to community-supported rhythm games and their lack of care towards decent difficulty progression in favor of solely pushing the limits of people who are already good at the game

I just really think music games should be made for the average player to enjoy and have skill ceilings somewhat within enjoyable reason… (what I deem reasonable as a music game player is already high!) Not for chasing impossible skill ceilings for esports for a select few, and for others to only spectate…

@utaumirai42 Can someone please explain the hate to me? I don’t understand

@djneyoru rhythm games stop at just “who can play these song better” and “who can get closer to AP”. The variance of the per match basis just isnt there. KOP is at its most exciting when its players playing debut tracks theyve never played before. But that can only happen once

@djneyoru what would a “team” of gekichumai players even do? unfortunately theres just no stakes or investment as compared to two teams of multiple people fighting each other, outsmarting each other, with unique tactics and strategies that make games varied and interesting.
