I've been told to leave the fandom, that it was no longer a safe space for me. That I should move on, because my bias is no longer part of the group. The only group I've been able to connect with in the 12 years I've listened to K-pop. The same group I watched grow since I was 14, the one that helped me through the toughest moments. I went through my entire teenage years with them. I was there for every comeback, every era, every award show, and even every protest. And yet, I had to see how they tried to erase him on a random Tuesday. Seeing the company, along with many of the so-called "fans," try to erase a legacy of almost six years was devastating. I had to go through the fan wars and being in the middle of many of them. I received hate simply for wanting the person I consider my idol, my role model, to return, or at least for them to give a clear explanation of why they kicked him out. Having to watch the company's inconsistent statements, how they communicated through third parties instead of their official channels, and how they treated him like a criminal, when the real criminals were them. Seeing fanbases behave childishly, criticizing, hating, and harassing those who didn't accept what Belift imposed. Witnessing the massive hatred directed at him and the other members, without the company intervening, was one of the cruelest ways Belift hurt us. Treating the people I love like products, and seeing how many fans accepted it. I've been Heeseung-biased for six years, and no one is going to tell me I have to accept that they’re now six and that I should leave the fandom. It's a mindset that won't change. I'm grateful to the fans who continue fighting for him. I hope that one day our wish will come true. my ot7 —It doesn't matter if you're pro-boycott or anti-boycott— thank you.
