Just curious - did you know my current or previous company or did you just bump into me completely randomly?

this, and @NotionHQ's similar cadence this year is why i have paused @TryMagpai for now... can't compete with this kind of speed or investment
Paweł Huryn@PawelHuryn

73 product releases in 52 days. That's not a launch cadence — that's a different kind of company. I tracked every Anthropic release from Feb 1 to Mar 23 by going through @bcherny, @trq212, @noahzweben, @felixrieseberg, @lydiahallie, @amorriscode, @feldman, @dickson_tsai, and @claudeai. Built a calendar with first-announcement attribution. Look at the acceleration. February had bursts with gaps between them. March 9 onward is almost every single day — Code Review, Channels, Dispatch, Computer Use, back to back. The individual features get coverage. The shipping velocity doesn't. It should.

@jobergum thats pretty low level, but agreed. do you see need for something to form inbetween db and workflow ui? i guess maybe skills? schema template repos?

@Vochsel Linear is to the extreme a workflow ui on top of a relational database. The primitive in this case would be to bypass their UI layer and build the database schema. We already have the models.

Two announcement events recently that I simply don't get. Amp (a coding agent tool) declaring coding agents as dead. Linear (a issue tracking tool) declaring issue tracking as dead.

@jobergum any suggestions of primitives?

Linear is sending me the exact same signal like Amp, that we should migrate off them and towards primitives. Now it's just a small minor per seat cost that we can easily neglect and focus on the work that matters to drive revenue instead of saving $2K annualy. Now with announcements like this, they just annoy me in the face that haha, you guys haven't vibed up a replacement yet, you should do because we no longer care about what we used to be good at and why you bought us in the first place.

It's nice to load professional made content. My new render pipe (2 months old code base) needs still some work in lighting side, and is missing alpha clip for example. Work in progress. HypeHype was all 100% UGC kitbashed content. Bad art quality was a given.

definitely more niche software. and a weird competing race to the bottom of pricing big players undercut by niche, ai coded competitors and small players undercut by consultants powered by claude code and then open source, as always left carrying the whole ecosystem on donations

We seem to be witnessing the end of the proprietary software model.
