@VolbeckWasRight

Anything I did that was wrong, I apologize for. But anything I did that was not wrong, I don't apologize for.

Most likely historical achievement never to have happened if today's failure of cost-benefit analysis prevailed:

Next step for the @NatlParkService after ripping out bike lanes with impunity… Relentlessly tow the cars parked in the no parking zone that is the entire length of Henry Bacon Drive by the Lincoln Memorial.

Journos overwhelmingly support this shutdown, want ICE defunded, and support Ossoff’s reelection. They treat Dem shutdowns differently because they are Dems.
Brad Todd@BradOnMessage

Who's going to stick a mic in Jon Ossoff's face and make him defend what he's doing to Georgians in this airport? Or are we gonna interview the people in line & ask if they are mad at Ossoff? Or are we not doing that in this particular shutdown, unlike the prior ones?

“Some Democrats” Such nonsense. He’s the Leader. His members want him to be the Leader. He ain’t going anywhere.
Tim Hanrahan@TimJHanrahan

New in @WSJ just now: Some Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing how to get New York Sen. Chuck Schumer to step aside as Senate minority leader amid concerns about his negotiating style and midterms strategy. wsj.com/politics/polic…

The man who owns an apple orchard called Heritage Apples in Clemmons, North Carolina, USA has re-discovered over 1000 rare varieties of apples. His Heritage Apples showcase at least 600 of them. He has been working so that the heirloom apples of Appalachia in the Eastern United States do not disappear with time. Popularly known as the Apple-Hunter, Tom grows around 60 varieties of apples each year on his farm and sells around 1000 trees. To encourage more preservation, Brown offers to discounts on the purchase of rarer heritage varieties. Trees from Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and a few other places have found their forever homes in his orchard.

Duh. You order the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu after starting with two martinis, and then regale everyone with some awesome stories about your college trip to Cabo. Maybe hit on the waitress at some point.

Y'all are dunking on High Point University, but odds are most of you wouldn’t know what to do with yourselves if you wound up at dinner with a Fortune 10 CEO, elected official, or foreign dignitary. “Be yourself” only gets you so far.
