@PrincessKyuuna I was having a similar issue in this area so i added an edge to the mammary and connected it to a triangle to have a smoother transition. You don't have to do it like that but this just worked for me.

@PrincessKyuuna A quad can only shade smooth when it's flat but with 4 vertices it can bend and when it bends it decides automatically the direction unless you cut it yourself which you can do. You can also increase the resolution or change the edge flow to fix stuff like that.

3D modellers pls help me 🥺 How do I get my model to look smooth? It has all these small weird shadows especialy around the chest, arm pits and middle of the face. the topology looks fine and the faces are flipped correct I can't figure it out

I'm learning a lot about Normal editing trying to understand the popular Arcsys anime shading. The topology of the Face is tailor-made to define every shadow region with a clear edge separating each one. The normals mostly face horizontally only being rotated on the Z axis.

This is extremely cool. I'm trying to get my head around normal editing to get something like this, but it's another difficult skill to achieve good results.

It is honestly also a much cleaner look in comparison to just using curves and such Takes a minute to understand but def an improvement 👍
