@questauthority It seems like it might be kinda useful to use at your desk in lieu of multiple monitors? It’d be kinda cool to reclaim my desk as a desk instead of a computer workstation. But (a) not for that price, and (b) looks a bit impractical to stay corded all day with such a short battery

@Mr_Rablin Three things: 1. I hate stacked graphs, so easy to visually manipulate the mood of the data. 2. Yes there is an uptick in the last four years, but hard to see how the trend line over decades is not flat. 3. What happened in 96 to 2000 to cause that spike.

Woof. This is concerning. Data from WA state regarding teacher attrition. Last year's rate of attrition was a full percentage point higher than any point in the past 37 years, and it's coming mostly from early to mid-career teachers. Source: caldercenter.org/sites/default/…

Look at your grade book. Imagine handing it off to the teacher who will have your students next. Would they be able to identify what those students need to learn next?

My students discovered today that the rather large coffee mug I hold every single day has been full of decaf coffee each morning since my knee surgery. They are shockingly distraught about this information. One student: "How are we even supposed to trust anything now?"

@jcderr For sure, I love the idea and vibe, but always regret not getting on the iOS bandwagon in time to try it out. But a grackle as the mascot is so Texan and dead on in social media tone.

I really like this continuum and idea. Fairly universally, we are still seeing students struggle to engage in school in the US. This could be a way to make tangible what feels intangible to many students and help set clearer metrics for what the classroom could be like.
