Exciting news - we’re updating the candidate filing process for 2026! This year, candidates will be able to start their paperwork online before visiting our office. We’ll share the link to the new forms later this week. Stay tuned for details and more info on the new process!

Today our office completed a successful post-election audit of the 2025 General Election! We’d like to thank those from municipalities and special districts who participated in and observed the process. Your support ensures transparency and strengthens trust in our elections!

@amyjhawkins @tvheidihatch As soon as we became aware of it, we worked with the statewide vendor for election results reporting to fix the issue and get the site to reflect the correct totals. We’re testing the site now to make sure it doesn’t make the same error again.

@amyjhawkins @tvheidihatch Hi Amy - When loading the election night results onto the results website, a technical error initially occurred with the ranked choice contests where the site briefly presented double the number of votes for each candidate in the first round.
