What's next? 🗳️ Some primary races are headed to a runoff after no candidate received more than 50% of the vote. Runoffs decide who moves on to the general election. Your vote matters!

@kellbell3328 If you voted in the Democratic primary, you cannot vote in the Republican runoff.

Texas Primary Runoffs: What to Know 🗳️ If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote in a primary, the top two move to a runoff to determine who will appear on the November ballot. You can vote if you participated in that party’s primary or did not vote in the primary.

Texas Primary Runoffs are May 26. If no candidate won over 50% of the vote in the primary, the top two advance to a runoff to be on the November ballot. You can vote in the same party runoff as the primary or vote in either runoff if you did not vote in this year’s primary.

It’s not even possible to navigate the Votetexas website on an iPhone. If you select voting location it simply refreshes the page. If you dig deep enough you can find a page about the CWPP program that has no locations and a second myvoter portal. This portal tries to get you to enter a bunch of persons info to “register to vote.” If you go through that process, it will ask you if you are a 1st time voter or if your registration is up to date and then gives you info on what is on the ballot. Ignore that and scroll to the top of the page and there is a button that says voting locations. Click on that and it lists 3 elections: Nov general, May 2nd general, and Democratic primary. However, if you scroll down one more there is the Republican primary. Click that one and it provides exactly one polling place open 7-7. Worst online experience since the 1990s. I’m shocked anyone votes in the primaries at all. 30 min on the phone for customer service yields all agents are currently unavailable so I assume others are struggling or there are no agents.

There are laws about what can and cannot be brought to the polls. For example, cell phones cannot be used in the same room where voting takes place. Review guidelines ahead of time at VoteTexas.gov to help keep the process smooth and vote with confidence.
