Yesterday, my first ever book launch was an amazing success. I sold 31 copies of The Spoiler, selling out the bookstore’s copies and most of my box. The store bought my last 6 copies for their shelves. 37 total copies, which is special since today is my 37th birthday!!!

Non-glamorous author moment: 4 people came to my reading. Not bad! …But 2 of them were actually there looking for another author who had a schedule change (they kindly stayed anyway) 😅 Sharing cause social media is a highlights reel. But reality is often… a lil different 😅

@MelJRey I’ve done meta data both first and last in the pitch and I’ve gotten a pretty equal amount of requests (albeit small for every book) doing it either way. Sometimes I think it’s a matter of how everything feels being set up a certain way.

Querying authors (& agents), what do you put first in the query letter: meta data or blurb/pitch?
