Making the worst gacha ever

why was everyone tripping about 3.0 act 2? acceptable levels of world building for an introductory patch story, reasonable focus on Mornye relative to the plot, and a great recap on Mornye & Rover's relationship of mentor & student from past to present? for some reason I feel like people wanted mid-version 2.2/2.4 levels of storytelling - you need to develop the new region first to dive into the more complex storytelling later on. validate those complaints by looking at 3.1 onwards. and yes, I think this was noticeably better than 3.0 part 1 or 2.8, so the doomposting lately is even more surprising. was it a story that'll reach critical acclaim like 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, or 2.7? Not particularly, but I also won't pretend 2.0 was even close to the best story we had in Rinascita.
