As a healthcare worker, for over 14 years now, I have never been more disgusted with people on any side of the conversation coming out and saying such vile and reprehensible things. Regardless of what you think of a persons political or ideological stances this is still a human life with value. I have never treated or not treated anyone differently based on their socioeconomic or political stances. It’s a sad state of affairs when those who claim to be medical professionals are acting like anything other than professionals. Regardless of your thoughts a man has lost his life and a family a father. I personally detest all forms of violence no matter one’s views. I have treated both saint and sinner. I have never in my many careers in public service treated anyone differently based on any self held belief or metric. And you are disgusting if you do. I have treated murders, rapists, pedophiles, drunks, mothers, fathers, children, liberals and conservatives all the same. I do not ask what your viewpoint is in a time of greatest need nor do I care. You are a human who has value and should be treated with such respect. To come out and wish harm or celebrate such an incident is vile and disgusting. While I still support your right to the first amendment, I also have the same rights. But as a professional and follower of Christ I believe it is disgusting to celebrate anyone’s death. I have served in the military, worked in the prison system, and now in healthcare. I stand with my fellow humans and wish to do no harm to anyone. I will be there to help in any way I can regardless of your stance or viewpoint because that is what my Christ and savior would require of me. I would never wish ill will on anyone because of their beliefs. I value human life and human dignity and believe the best recourse for differences has to be conversation not shaming and backstabbing, and especially not killing someone because of their beliefs. Please hold your family tight and please love those who need love the most. This must stop. Otherwise I fear what we will become. God bless and may God please bless our country. We need more prayers not preyers.
