Seeing this book in an email from Avid Reader Bookstore this morning was a bigger slap in the face to me than a rejection letter. I have been working on an Historical Fiction story on the life of Wilhelmina "Bill" Smith and a book has just been released. #writerslife #AusWrites

#AusWrites Do you draw maps of your story world? As a fantasy writer I should. I do love a map. Tried a few times myself, even with dry pasta, but I'm tragic at drawing. Ended up using where I live (we have mountains, rivers, lakes, villages). Gave me an idea of distances, times.
