While I'm confident in the abject failure of this endeavour over the long-term, I'm sure this will not be the last time we see disgusting amounts of money invested to prioritize quick profits over the work of passionate humans. What an absolutely infuriating state of affairs...

@TenebrousPress I think long-term, if I was just focused on publishing short fiction, goal would be 3-4. But if I was publishing longer stuff (novels, novellas) at the same time, I would probably be satisfied with less (like 1 yearly would be great).

I've got a bit of a curiosity Q for short story writers. Having how many short stories published per year would make you feel satisfied? Personally, for yourself and not for anyone else. Not how many people *should* have, but how many would make *you* feel like it's enough.

This thread does a really great job articulating how I’ve always felt about Trump — and talking to people who ‘don’t get it’. Language fails when lived realities have so little overlap.

I find I’m reading a lot more short fiction these days, since I’m awake for random stretches of time in the middle of the night with baby. It’s actually kind of nice, almost makes me forget about all the sleep I’m missing…
