Gravity falls deadass feels like this

Honestly, I've been realizing a pattern when it comes to indie animation and why I fear it won't survive much long until it falls in the category of slop... the writing. Most always begun strong with a good premise, but as things go along they keep adding plot points and promises that they are never able to deliver either do to the lack of time because of the low episode count or the lack of actual effort in the character writing besides the superficial drama, trauma and mystery boxing going on that never ends well since it's clear that they were doing things on the fly. I mean, look at all the recent indies that had a finally and tell me... did that feel actually good? Honestly, drop the OC bullshit for a minute and focus on your story and how you wish it to go from beginning to end... have an actual plan.

I dont see a lot of people pointing this out, but in toy story of terror, woody and Jessie nearly get sold back to AL
