@MeteorologistBrianDavis: An upgrade to ENHANCED RISK (Level 3/5) Storms will develop after 5 pm and move over the Mississippi river into west Tennessee. 5-7 pm West counties. 6-8pm through the central counties. 7-9pm near the TN River.

Strong to severe storms expected this evening.

Storms look to be most likely after about 8 pm tonight and lasting through about 1 am.

Most of our Saturday looks dry but showers and storms will increase in the late evening with storms likely by tonight. A few storms may become severe so be weather aware. We'll track any storms tonight and join me for updates again this evening at 6 and 10.

Have a plan in place for the afternoon and evening. Storms will be capable of producing powerful and long tracked tornadoes.

Showers and storms will become likely over northwest Tennessee on Sunday afternoon with more storms late overnight into Monday morning. Stay weather aware.

A low end severe weather risk returns Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Storms in the afternoon over northwest Tennessee may cause flooding in the afternoon. A cold front to bring more storms southward through all of the area by Monday morning.

The severe threat is now at the enhanced level or 3/5.

Winds gusting up to 30 mph later in the afternoon with 40 mph wind gusts Thursday.

Wind advisory will go in effect midnight tonight through 6 pm Thursday.

Two rounds of storms Thursday. One in the morning and another in the early afternoon. We'll need to watch that afternoon round closely.

Winter storm warning from 9 PM tonight through 3 PM tomorrow afternoon. Winter weather advisory through 9 AM for counties north.

It can seem redundant but today is a good time to consider all of these things before the potential weather arrives tonight.
