4/4 - The class talked a little about the sadness of the day & how brave the first responders must have been to go in the direction of danger. Mrs. West said her kids showed such compassion & reflectiveness.

3/4- After reading, Mrs. West’s 3rd grade class wrote thank you notes to Nashville first responders for 9/11 so that they can feel loved on such a hard day. The card was designed by one of our very own WB students.

1/4-With the 20th anniversary of 9/11 upon us, we’ve been having conversations this week with our 3rd and 4th graders about that tragic day, specifically the first responders who gave their lives to save others.

Our neighbors fig tree is dropping off dozens of free figs into our yard and I’m finding out that no one in my family as well as many of my friends are not fans of figs. Do most people love or hate figs?
