There's a big wide world out there for those who want to work. That's the key: want to work.
Guest relations young woman here in my hotel in Turkey is from Kazakhstan, having previously worked in Austria. She speaks no Turkish. She speaks quite good English and a bit of German. Her husband is awaiting his visa to come here for a job too.
The staff here are from many different countries. They got off their bums to find work and broaden their horizons.
While millions of people, fit and able, in the UK sit on their settees, moan there's no jobs, say they need to live near mummy and won't go to evening school to learn a new language or skill. But they'll be happy to take Universal Credit. 🙄😡

I've been coming to Turkey for 20 years, same week every year, for husband's birthday as he loves it here.

Myself & husband have worked hard all our lives, brought up our children & looked forward to retirement.
Hell will freeze over before I will let this weak, spineless government start taking away what we’ve worked hard for just because they want & can do.
This country is just about bankrupt & yet this government is continuing to give our money away & nobody, just nobody is stopping them.
When we lived in normal times this would never have been allowed but unfortunately we live in a fraudulent, corrupt world now where most governments are compromised.
If we speak out we are intentionally shut down for fear of wakening others up.
Hopefully one day we can return to more normal times 🙏
