The aircraft is entirely composed of Russian components and is being developed for regional airlines, with the ability to operate in hard-to-reach regions. It is capable of operating autonomously from small airfields with short and unpaved runways. The Il-114-300 is also expected to be used in Arctic regions in low temperatures.
