🔴The Islamic Republic’s judiciary media announced that the death sentence of Abduljalil Shahbakhsh, a Baluch political prisoner accused of security-related charges, was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, May 12, after being upheld by the Supreme Court. The judiciary cited his charges as « armed rebellion through attacks on law enforcement outposts » and « membership in the Ansar Al-Furqan group. » 🔸According to the official statuent, the death sentence was initially issued by the Revolutionary Court and subsequently affirmed by the Supreme Court. However, no details regarding the judicial proceedings, his access to legal counsel, or the evidence within the case file have been disclosed. 🔸The judiciary further claimed that #AbduljalilShahbakhsh, son of Jalal, confessed during interrogations to joining Ansar Al-Furqan approximately six years ago and crossing the border illegally to receive military training. Simultaneously, a video of his alleged confessions was released, though the circumstances under which the video was recorded and the methods used to obtain these confessions remain unclear. 🔸Official reports did not specify the location of the execution, and no independent information regarding his condition prior to the execution of the sentence has been made available.

🔴As the wave of executions related to the January 2026 protests continues, two young men, 25-year-old #MehdiRasouli and 21-year-old #MohammadRezaMiri, were executed at dawn on Sunday, May 3, in Mashhad’s Vakilabad Prison. 🔸Both had been sentenced to death in connection with the killing of a Basij member. According to informed sources, the case against Rasouli relied heavily on confessions that he maintained were extracted under severe pressure and torture. 🔸In a related development, reports indicate that #EbrahimDowlatabadi, another protester, was secretly executed at the same prison during the early hours of Sunday. 🔸While the Judiciary claimed Dowlatabadi was executed after the Supreme Court upheld his sentence for "acting against national security," "leading assemblies," and "destroying public property," the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported a different account. According to Hengaw, his death sentence for "Moharebeh" (enmity against God) and "leading demonstrations" was issued by Judge Gholamreza Akbari-Moghaddam at Branch 1 of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court on Monday, April 27—and carried out just six days after he was notified. 🔸Ebrahim Dowlatabadi, a father of two from Mashhad, was originally arrested at Tabarsi Square during the protests. Human rights advocates highlight that his trial lacked any semblance of transparency, with no independent evidence presented against him. Furthermore, several of his family members were also reportedly arrested during the protests and remain behind bars.

The Judiciary Media Center announced that the execution of #MahdiFarid an employee in the field of passive defense, was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, April 22. Mizan News Agency cited the charges against him as "spying for Israel" and "Corruption on Earth" through collaboration with Mossad. The judiciary claimed he transferred sensitive organizational and infrastructure information to a "Mossad officer" and facilitated foreign access to internal systems. These allegations have not been independently verified. Mahdi Farid, 55, a former media columnist, was arrested in the winter of 2023. He was initially sentenced to 10 years in prison, but after an appeal by the prosecutor, the sentence was changed to death in a retrial. The execution at Qezel Hesar Prison comes amid reports of an escalating wave of security-related executions in Iran and the issuance of dozens of similar sentences for defendants accused of "collaboration with the enemy."
