Last night, we celebrated the Washington Catholic Schools Class of 2030 8th Grade Graduation! 🎓❤️ It was a beautiful evening honoring the accomplishments, growth, and memories made throughout their middle school years. Yesterday’s Field Day was full of smiles, laughter, and Cardinal fun! ☀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Our students had an amazing time enjoying relay races, tug-of-war, outdoor games, and cooling off with popsicles on a beautiful day together. 🏀 WC Little Cardinals Parent Meeting 🏀 Attention Little Cardinals families! There will be a parent information meeting on Tuesday, May 26th at 7pm in the The Birdcage. Please enter through Gate 2 by the concession stand. During the meeting, we will discuss plans for the Little Cardinals program, summer practices, and preparations for the regular season. ⛳️ It was a great day on the course at the annual Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble! Washington Catholic Schools President Dr. Palmer and Director of Marketing Sara Voges proudly represented WC while finishing the day at an impressive 8-under par! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️ To top it off, Dr. Palmer also took home the award for Longest Putt! 🎉 Thank you to the Chamber for hosting another wonderful community event and giving local organizations a chance to connect and support one another. ❤️

Our 4th graders stepped back in time for an unforgettable day at Pioneer Day! Dressed as pioneers, students spent the day learning about life in the early days of Indiana through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and visits with talented artisans from all across southern Indiana. From exploring history to enjoying the great outdoors, it was a day full of fun, learning, and adventure — even with a little rain along the way! 🌧️🤠🪵📚 A special thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers and the Daviess County Museum for making this incredible experience possible for our students!

Washington Catholic chemistry students recently traveled to Vincennes University for an exciting hands-on learning experience! Students had the opportunity to perform a college-level laboratory experiment, silver a bottle, and explore the fascinating world of polymers. It was a great day of real-world science, discovery, and STEM learning beyond the classroom!

Today was Pen Pal Lunch Day for our 4th and 5th graders! 💌🍕 Throughout the school year, students have been writing back and forth with their pen pals from the RSVP Retired & Senior Volunteer Program. Today, they finally got to meet in person and enjoy a delicious lunch filled with pizza, treats, laughter, and wonderful conversations. What a special opportunity to build friendships across generations and create memories that will last a lifetime! ❤️

🚨🌋 CAUTION! CAUTION! THE FLOOR IS LAVA! 🌋🚨 Kindergarten students put their listening skills, balance, and problem-solving to the test today as they carefully navigated through “lava” to make it safely to their stations! 🔥🪨 There were lots of giggles, teamwork, and creative moves as students jumped, tiptoed, and balanced their way across the classroom. Learning is always an adventure in kindergarten at Washington Catholic Schools! 😊

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Evansville for supporting education through their Classroom Enrichment Grants! We are proud to share that Kaitlyn Craney, our 1st grade teacher, was awarded a grant for Immersive Classroom Experiences, helping bring engaging and interactive learning opportunities to her students. We also congratulate Ms. Fawn Mattingly, our art teacher, who was awarded a grant for Sculpting with Cardboard, giving students exciting new ways to explore creativity and hands-on art experiences. We are incredibly grateful for community partners like the Rotary Club of Evansville who continue to invest in our students, teachers, and classrooms! 🍎🎨👏
