@FarmersCompany is delighted to launch applications for the 75th Rural Business Management programme, which starts in October 2026 through to the final online sessions during February 2027, under the tutelage of Karen Brosnan. Our Management course has a tweaked name this year, allowing the Rural programme to be 'generic and not specific to the industry'. As before, it will also include the two-week residential programme between 8th-21st November inclusive at @CourtStonehouse, near Stroud, Gloucestershire. Information on fees and the application portal for the 2026/27 course is available via: farmerslivery.org.uk/courses/rural-… #RBM26

With the recent changes of the @NFUtweets Leadership team, the @WCFAlumni continues to have two of the NFU team who have completed the @FarmersCompany education programmes: @ProagriLtd Tom Bradshaw, having completed the Agricultural Business Management course in 2014, remains president, whilst the new vice president is @Robyn_Munt Robyn Munt, who completed the Challenge of Rural Leadership in 2023. Robyn replaces Rachel Hallos, who completed the Challenge of Rural Leadership in 2020. Pictured with Tom and Robyn is Paul Tompkins @Southacrefarm, who has been elected as NFU deputy president. Many congratulations and good wishes to you all.

Applications continue for the 2026 John Nix Award. This annual award, worth £1000, recognises excellence in rural business management and will be awarded by @FarmersCompany, in association with @AndersonsCentre. For 2026, the competition is open to graduates of the Company's two flagship programmes in Business Management and Rural Leadership, as well as the Business Growth Programme or p/t & f/t MBAs we supported at @cranfieldmngmt. Professor John Nix, who died in 2018, is remembered by many as the doyen of agricultural business management in general and gross margins in particular. His practical, down-to-earth style won many farming hearts and minds, and his management pocketbook lives on as a worthy legacy. The John Nix Award is delighted hear from those @WCFAlumni who have achieved success with their business since attending the course and the impact of the course has made on their careers; those eligible for this year's award to have completed their course at least 5 years ago at the time of application (in essence those who participated in the programmes since 2021 or earlier). The winner will be announced at our annual Agricultural Lecture on 21st April in the City of London. More information: wcfalumni.org/article/2026-j… #ABM #CRL #BGP #JohnNixAward
