We need more special needs government schools. Too many people have been on waiting lists for years due to lack of space. They also can’t afford the private schools.

@AfricanDream01 @WCFID_ZA No, no we absolutely do NOT. Accommodations in "mainstream" schools would be flimsy at best, integration would result in a lot of energy & resources being spent in educating "normal" children how to interact with & exist alongside disabled children.

We need more schools that integrate all children and not continue segregation through "special needs" schools. Let the discrimination stop now plse #DisabilityRights @WCFID_ZA #Disability

Basic Education ⬇️ In terms of consolidated expenditure, spending on education remains the largest component at 23.7 per cent over the medium term. Basic education receives R22.7 billion for carry-through costs announced in May 2025. Early childhood development receives the majority of these funds.
