Summer just got a lot colder ❄️ On this date 65 years ago, "Nikki, Wild Dog of the North" was released to theaters. While not a True-Life Adventures documentary, it continued Walt's belief that animal-driven live-action stories could carry the same dramatic heft as animated ones.

On this date 118 years ago, Disney Legend John Hench was born. Over a 65-year career with Disney, Hench did it all: background painting, layout, styling, special effects, Imagineering, and concept art—like these dreamy "Cinderella" (1950) pieces from our collection. 👸

The Walt Disney Family Museum wishes a very happy birthday to Disney Legend Kathryn Beaumont! 🎂 Beaumont portrayed Alice from "Alice in Wonderland" (1951) in live-action reference, in the film itself, and in Walt's first television special "One Hour in Wonderland" (1951).
