Pep and Arteta are there, but under contract, and be honest, have a squad and money that Newcastle don't. That's the realistic issue. It's not who the manager is, it's the squad depth and finances

Look at the revenue from CL this season alone, gonna be north of £50m - multiply that by 6 seasons and that extra 300m would have brought more players, more flexibility on wages. We duck in and out when we need consistency.

@WDWMrWomble @aliveandgigging @agbnufc_ Bingo. We have made the CL twice now with 7th/8th highest wage bill twice. That alone shows a club ahead of schedule, regular CL isn’t going to be a given till we have the 4th/5th highest wages and revenue which we are nowhere near.

If we don't get European footy, we need to face the harsh reality that semi-rebuild will happen, some core players will leave. Sure we will sign promising players, but it's definitely a lengthy set back to our ambitions. Manager, players and recruitment deserve blame.

Squad depth and quality prevents Euro seasons being higher in league. 2x CL seasons - 1x 7th but that was a huge fight from mar, 12th now. Thanks

@agbnufc_ Recruitment for sure. I respect Eddie's stance on loan players etc. But having 1 or 2 loan Defender, Midfielder or Striker probably would have helped in January and certainly from Summer. But also we can't just drop £100'sk on wages for loans
