was diagnosed an at a healthy weight you cannot make this argument w/o invalidating the lived experiences of multiple anorexics AND perpetuating the idea that you will not be helped unless you are uw. the manifestation of a disorder from person to person will never be "objective"

the “what counts as anorexia” debate confuses me so much? here’s the diagnostic criteria, if you don’t relate to all 3 points you objectively don’t have anorexia nervosa

@im2sickly this is true!!! and i think the distinction between being "proana" and ana-focused/favoring is so important because proana has such negative connotations and applying that label to an entire community can and already has had consequences

@WEREWOLFBJD exactly!! you worded it perfectly!! these spaces were made for any and all eating disorders, that is true, but there is a clear hierarchy when it comes to these disorders and anorexia is at the top of the pyramid 🤔

i kind think when people label eating disorder spaces as inherently proana has an ana focused tone in of itself. you are forgetting the people in these communities who do not have anorexia at all. are eating disorder communities also inherently pro bed? pro pica? pro arfid? ++

@im2sickly im so glad because honestly i was thinking nobody would get what i meant but YESS i think its reductive imo and also allows those who do perpetuate proana view/talking points in these spaces to have more of an influence over them while undermining non anorexics in these spaces

@WEREWOLFBJD this just gave me a very new perspective it was very thought provoking and i find that i agree 😇 the assumption of everyone in these spaces being proana is inherently wrong. i wouldnt say its pro-ED in general though because people react very differently to pica BED and arfid 🤔

happy intl. transgender day to the nonbinary that are not androgynous, the dolls that do not ‘pass’, boys that like to be fem, the people in between, the questioners of the cis-society, the gender benders, the people that treat gender like a playground.

a reminder on trans day of visibility that india made a new amendment that will remove the principle of self-identified gender identity from the law.
