Aid restores dignity & hope🇨🇩 “This food rebuilt us physically.” Displaced for 3 years in North Kivu, Kasoki Princilia first received @WFP's food assistance. Later, cash assistance helped her buy dresses for herself and her daughter: “Tomorrow, we'll go to church feeling proud.”

📱#DoYouKnow Nearly 1,900 households in Uvira Territory 🇨🇩 received mobile phones and SIM cards ahead of @WFP's cash-based assistance. Through Mobile money, families can receive support safely, quickly and with dignity while choosing how best to meet their most urgent needs.

🇨🇩 No family should face Ebola and hunger at the same time. @WFP has delivered 96,000+ hot meals and food assistance to 23,000 people in eastern DRC. But without funding, this response is at risk. To keep this lifesaving support going, @WFP urgently needs US$75.5M. Act now.

🇨🇩 Displaced five times, Esther is still rebuilding in Eastern DRC's North Kivu. “I used the cash to buy a bag of rice to resell and started making doughnuts. It helps us meet our daily needs,” she explains. Today, insecurity & rising food prices threaten her fragile progress.

Since the start of the response in eastern #DRC 🇨🇩, @WFP-managed UNHRD hubs in Accra, Dubai & Brindisi have moved hundreds of MT of critical supplies, helping 7 partners on the front line of the outbreak deliver treatment, protection and emergency support to affected communities.
