@WGEID welcomes the judgment by @IACourtHR Guevara Rodríguez et al. v. Venezuela, which reaffirms that #enforceddisappearance can occur even when it is of short duration, without the prolongation of deprivation of liberty being a constitutive element.

The WGEID supports the call of the WGAD for focusing on individual justice and emphasises the fundamental importance of strengthening mechanisms that offer direct support, including by establishing the fate and whereabouts of disappeared person.
