#classicstwitter We're choosing between Suburani and CLC 5th ed to use with Year 8 and 9 next year (Year 7 do Stages 1-2 of CLC 5th ed, and we switch to Latin to GCSE in Year 10). Would be really interested to hear people's experiences with either book! Pros? Cons?

Our first question is for teachers (broadly defined). Have you ever made an adjustment for a #Neurodivergent student? If yes, what was the nature of this adjustment & how well did it work? Please share widely & reply with the # tag #NeurodivergentExperiences.

Get your thinking 💭 caps 🧢 on guys, we have a couple of questions to ask about #NeurodivergentExperiences & we’d love to get your feedback. Questions will follow shortly … thanks.

I've listened to Pompeii by Bastille hundreds of times. But today was the 1st time I watched the music video with subtitles on. And they're not singing 'eh eh oh', they're singing 'eheu' which is Latin for 'oh no' because it's about Pompeii so there's Latin IN THE SONG OHMYDAYS

Words that functionally only exist for high school Latin students as glosses of Latin vocabulary, but are unknown or unused in their real life: - suppliant - tawny - garrison - fatherland What other words can you think of?

@MissAWaters1 Love it and love the name. From the Greek for ‘stone’ and ‘blood of the gods’ which is just such a perfect description for it!

Can you help? We’re looking to make contact with Classics people who went on to jobs and careers outside academia, and employers who have hired people with a Classics background. If that’s you, or someone you know, please say hi. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Please RT
